FRANK WEBB ALLEY CLEAN UP

A resident on Frank Webb Avenue recently alerted me to a large amount of fly tipped waste, including old wheelie bins, mattresses, a shopping trolley and other general waste which looked like it had been there some time. ๐Ÿคฎ

Working with The Guinness Partnership, Cheshire East Council and Ansa Environmental Services Ltd this has now been cleared up. โœ”๏ธ Thanks guys!๐Ÿ‘

See litter or fly tipping near your home?  Get it cleared up by calling 0300 123 5011.

Thank you!

NICE WEATHER FOR DUCKS!!

I've been out across our area as I keep working to improve where we live.  I should be a duck really!

Some of the issues I've tackled recently:

๐Ÿšฎ Litter picked the playground, MUGA and around the zip line in Leighton Brook Park.

๐Ÿšง Reported potholes including Minshull New Road and Barnabas Avenue.

โœจ Requested clear up of fly tipping on McNeill Avenue, Frank Webb & Monks Lane

โ˜‘ Checked on progress of several other issues in the area.

LEIGHTON BROOK PARK - NEW ZIP LINE NOW OPEN!

I'm pleased that the new zip line is now open in Leighton Brook Park off Frank Webb Avenue as part of the recent improvement works I have been involved in.

It's taken a little longer than anticipated originally due to the prolonged wet weather, but it's now ready and waiting for you!

It's the first dual zip line anywhere in our area, which means it's a two at a time challenge to get to the other end first.

I've resisted the temptation to have a go myself!!  Let me know what you think!

HOLY MOLY!  BADGER AVENUE PAVEMENT ISSUE

Thank you to resident Darren who recently alerted me to a missing manhole cover on Badger Avenue.

I raised this with Cheshire East Highways who quickly made the issue safe, and Openreach who attended later that day.

By the next morning it had been fully repaired with a new manhole cover being fitted into a resurfaced area of pavement.

THE LITTLE TREE IN THE PARK GETS AN UPGRADE

You may remember back when the plans were being finalised for the upgrades to Leighton Brook Park, I asked that the small tree be kept, as it was planned to be removed which seemed a shame as it had survived for so long. ๐ŸŒด

The tree proudly remains in the middle of the new tarmac graphics area - but the problem was the new stones at it's base were ending up all over the tarmac.  I even had to repair the base at one point when it got damaged, and kept sweeping up the mess!

Many residents asked why there were stones which didn't seem suitable and I asked if it could be changed for something different.

The little tree has now had an upgrade to a resin base which will stop the issues with the stones. ๐Ÿ‘  I can give my broom a rest!! ๐Ÿงน
