POLICE AND CRIME COMMISSIONER ELECTION

Tomorrow you'll have the opportunity to vote for the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire.

John Dwyer has been helping me to tackle several issues in our area, including Anti Social Behaviour where we have made real improvements in the last year.

We are currently working on several other issues including tackling speeding vehicles where we live.

John has really supported me in the work I am doing for Crewe St Barnabas and I need your support to be able to continue this partnership.

You'll have the opportunity to vote tomorrow.

Polling stations are open from 7am to 10pm on May 2, 2024.

Please support John Dwyer For PCC with your vote so that we can continue working together to tackle issues in our area.

Since John was elected in 2021, across Cheshire

☑ Crime down 3.1%

☑ Arrests up 30%

☑ 101 and 999 call waiting times down

☑ 322 new police officers recruited.

For more police and safer streets, vote for John Dwyer on Thursday 2nd May

LEIGHTON BROOK PARK PLAYGROUND NEW SIGN - IMPROVING ROAD SAFETY

It's great to see how busy the newly revamped playground at Leighton Brook Park off Frank Webb Avenue has been recently.

With so many more people enjoying this facility I wanted to try to improve the road safety for those crossing Frank Webb Avenue near the playground.  I was pleased to see the first of the new signs has now been installed which will help to make drivers more aware of children and parents crossing the road near the park.

I am also looking to include the Community Speedwatch scheme at this location.

TACKLING FLY TIPPING IN OUR AREA

As ever, I've been out across the area this week helping residents with issues and tackling local problems.

Unfortunately I've come across some really disgusting fly tipping this week which I have reported and requested to be cleared including:

🏞️ In the water of the brook at Leighton Brook Park off Frank Webb Avenue near the playground.

Reference 5920569 and 5920582

🛣️ Footpath between McNeill Avenue and West Street near Bowen Cooke Avenue.

Reference 5920493 and 5920479

🏡Alleyway behind McNeill Avenue and West Street

Reference 5920452, 5920435, 5920419, and 5920380

We are wasting the money we all pay on our council tax to the tune of £239,000 a year clearing up this type of mess in our community.

Fly tipping is illegal.  If you know anything about where this fly tipping has come from, please call  0300 123 5011 and quote the reference numbers above.

Report any flytipping you see online or by calling 0300 123 5011.
