✨ HELP KEEP OUR PARK CLEAN ✨

We recently had a Β£100k investment to upgrade the facilities at Leighton Brook Park on Frank Webb Avenue, including new litter bins.

We won't get this level of investment again for many years to come, so let's look after our new playground and park!  Help keep it clean for everyone to enjoy this summer.

The aim is zero litter, so if you're in the park or passing and see some litter, please just pick it up and pop it in the bin.

It's everyone responsibility. πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘¦β€πŸ‘¦

Let's all work together and love where we live. ❀️

If anyone would like to borrow litter picking equipment please let me know.

Thank you! πŸ‘Œ

BADGER AVENUE - 'DERELICT' BUS SHELTER REMOVAL

I questioned what the purpose of the bus shelter at the end of Badger Avenue was.

It has not been in use for some time, served no purpose and had fallen into disrepair.

Not only did it look awful, but it was it attracting littering, graffiti and anti social behaviour outside residents homes and the Morrisons Local shop.

I have been asking for this to be removed for some time, and I'm pleased to see it has now finally gone!

If there's a problem that needs sorting, click the link below and let me know.

Let's keep improving where we live in St Barnabas πŸ‘

FRANK WEBB AVENUE - VISIBLE IMPROVEMENTS!

I've been working to try and tackle the issues at the top of Frank Webb Avenue, having recently worked with Guinness Housing and Cheshire East Council, engaging with residents to tackle the problems at this location.

There were often abandoned bins full of incorrect waste on the footpath, repeated fly tipping issues and broken alley gates.

The gates are now repaired, locked securely, fly tipping has all but stopped and I was pleased to see how much better the area looked recently.

This area still needs attention and is something I am keeping an eye on but it is a step in the right direction.

Let's keep making St Barnabas better and be proud of where we live πŸ‘

BADGER AVENUE PAVEMENT PROBLEM

I've raised a request to repair the damaged utilities manhole cover on the corner of Badger Avenue and Underwood Lane near the traffic lights crossing.

A temporary 'fix' has been put in and is now awaiting a permanent repair.

If there's an issue you've seen that needs sorting please do let me know
