LEIGHTON BROOK PARK FREE EVENTS

I have been out today delivering leaflets to promote the free Family Bootcamp sessions which are running for families at Leighton Brook Park.  I have worked with Crewe Town Council to bring these events to OUR park and they are being run instructors from Everybody Leisure who also operate Crewe Lifestyle Centre.

No need to book just turn up and take part.  Bring the kids to burn off some energy or get the whole family involved, it's for ALL ages and abilities!  Parents can take part, or sit back and relax whilst the kids burn off some energy!

These events are totally free and have now been extended until the end of September.  Join in every Sunday at 9.30am, meet by the playground in Leighton Brook Park, Frank Webb Avenue.

These events will run every Sunday until 24th September.

HELP ME GET MORE FUNDING TO TACKLE ASB IN OUR AREA

Police and Crime Commissioner John Dwyer will soon be bidding for more funding from government's Safer Streets Fund. They need to hear from residents like YOU about the impact ASB can have in OUR area and what you think needs to be done to tackle it.

ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR.

I would encourage residents to report ASB issues however small by calling 101.  This provides the police with intelligence and also highlights the issues in our area which can lead to increased patrols. For this reason it is important to report issues to the police even if they donโ€™t need an immediate response as it builds up a picture of issues in the area and helps the police to target areas that need attention.  The non emergency number is 101 to report these types of issues or you can report them online.  Of course in an emergency always call 999.

If you have any information or wish to report anything please do get in contact, call 101 or report online.   I would encourage you to report ASB issues however small.  The more issues we report the more focus we will get for our area.

I am also working to get more support in terms of ASB for our area and will provide an update soon.

WINDSOR AVENUE UNAUTHORISED ENCAMPMENT

Despite recent repairs I requested to be carried out to boundary fencing for the green space opposite Windsor Avenue, we unfortunately had an unauthorised encampment there this week.

I was quickly made aware of this by concerned residents on Tuesday evening at about 8pm and made contact the the relevant authorities that evening.

By the following morning a section 61 notice had been authorised requiring the site be vacated by that evening.

The site was vacated less than 24 hours after becoming occupied and I arranged for the site to be cleared of any waste the next morning.

Work has been requested to secure the entry point in the fencing that was used to gain access.

MINSHULL NEW ROAD WALK TO SCHOOL ROUTE FLOODING!

I know we don't want to think about school just yet (or maybe you do already!!) but many parents had contacted me about the footpath on Minshull New Road to Leighton Academy School with regards to the path flooding and the width of the path. I've raised these issues and was advised that work would take place to jet and clear the gullies on 24th and 24th July to try and prevent the flooding.

Further works are being scheduled to cut back the bushes and make the path more accessible but this has to be done once bird nesting season passes due to legal requirements.

That's it for this newsletter but keep following my Facebook and Instagram for many more updates than I can fit on this email!

If you have something you'd like me to look in to please do get in contact.

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday at Leighton Brook Park.  Set the alarm and see you at 9.30am!

Have a great weekend.
